Magical Dragonfly

Today I painted a dragonfly because dragonflies fill me with happiness.  I lost my mother-in-law a few years back & she was a very important part of my life.  Whenever I see a dragonfly I am reminded of Shirley's resilient spirit and it makes me smile.   Instantly I feel her love and think about her.  Over the years, Shirley and Bill gave my children a lifetime of good memories -- family gatherings with homecooked meals and wonderful holiday experiences.  She was Gummy to my kids and  a confidante to me.  What do dragonflies mean to you?

I'm sorry to hear about losing your mom-in-law. It's nice to hear about the way she was important to you and your family and to know that those memories remain.

The painting is terrific. When you have an emotional tie to a painting, it always turns out with something special.
